Services and Rituals
Friday evening shabbat services are held at 6 PM in our innovative chapel. On the second shabbat a covered dish dinner follows services.
At 10 AM on shabbat morning a shiur is conducted by the Rabbi. The study group’s topics vary with the interest of the group. Kiddush and kaddish along with the week’s yahrzeitim and a light nosh are a part of the activities of the shiur (study group).
Periodically on shabbat morning there are beginning Hebrew classes.
Services at Temple B’nai Israel are organized to capture the oneg (the joy) of the Sabbath. Attendees are welcomed in casual dress and children are encouraged to attend services.
B’nai Israel is an inclusive Reform congregation. Service attendees are welcome to wear kepot and talitot, which are available, should they be wanted.
Come join our Rabbi and our members for a most delightful shabbat service. Visitors are welcome and future members are especially welcomed.
